LUMBERTON TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Lumberton Township Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Police Officer.  Applicants shall possess a current NJ PTC Basic Police Officer Certificate or waivable NJ PTC SLEO II Certificate and be under no contractual obligation to another department under NJSA 40A:14-178 or must be willing to satisfy any training reimbursement to a prior department.

Eligibility:

  1. Must be a resident of New Jersey at the time of appointment and a citizen of the United States
  2. Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to meet the requirements of the New Jersey Police and Firemen’s Pension System (PFRS).
  3. Shall have graduated from high school or possess a General Equivalency Degree (GED).
  4. Ability to perform all the tasks and duties of a Police Officer.
  5. Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license at the time of appointment.
  6. No indictable criminal history conviction and of good moral character.
  7. Must possess a PTC Certification, Special Class II certification or an Alternate Route Certificate
